DOG FASION DISCO
Dog Fashion Disco is an avant-garde band from Baltimore that was formed in 1995. They are notable for combining many different music styles (70’s psychedelic, jazz, piano recital, circus music and vocals, film-noir, hardcore, ska, among others) they were, however, primarily considered a metal band. They are often referred to as DFD and were originally called Hug the Retard, but changed their name to Dog Fashion Disco before releasing any material, as they felt the name Hug The Retard was too politically incorrect and might cost them fans. Also of note is the fact that they recorded a track with System of a Down frontman, Serj Tankian, called “Mushroom Cult” on the album Anarchists of Good Taste, and often wrongly attributed to System of a Down, even though Serj Tankian was the only member to perform on the track.
Adultery was released in 2006 through Rotten Records, as their 6th studio album (5th, if you don’t include the extremely limited release of Erotic Massage and their live album, The City is Alive Tonight). Baltimore’s Dog Fashion Disco call it “Movie Metal” and have not only outdone themselves, but have created a concept record to fold, spindle, and mutilate all of the aural senses. Adultery delves into the life of an ordinary suburban family man and walks you through his folding to his own dark demons. Lock Quentin Tarantino, Charles Bukowski and Humphrey Bogart in a room with guitars, drums and a few bottles of Absinthe and what you would find closely resembles the genius of Adultery.
Psychostick is a metal band from Tempe, Arizona, known for a silly image and usage of extreme humor in their songs and lyrics. Their style is referred to by themselves and some online album review sites as humor-core.
* Rob “Rawrb!” Kersey — lead vocals
* Joshua “Joshy” Key — guitar, vocals
* Alex “Shmalex” Dontre — drums, vocals
* Matty J. “Moose”— bass, vocals
To date they have released three discs nationally and one digital only EP. The most recent, titled “The Digital Appetizer” was released on May 11th, 2010, “Sandwich,” was released May 5 2009, “The Flesh Eating Roller Skate Holiday Joyride,” released September 25, 2007, and “We Couldn’t Think of a Title,” released on September 12, 2006.
They began touring nationally in July of 2006, and have toured with Look What I Did, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Powerglove, Bobaflex, Indorphine, Green Jelly, Nashville Pussy, Mower, and Better Left Unsaid.
As of March 2007, Psychostick’s debut album has had minor chart success in the US, reaching #41 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers albums, and #48 on its Top Independent Albums chart. The same band members also form a band called Evacuate Chicago, which makes more serious and non-comedy oriented music.
LORDS will be melting faces at this year’s GAMEHOLE CON at the Alliant Energy Center!
For more info: https://www.gameholecon.com/
Gamehole Con is all about tabletop gaming and nothing else. The convention features role-playing games, board games, fantasy and historical miniature gaming, and collectible card games. Gamehole Con is for the fantasy and adventure tabletop gaming enthusiast. Serious gamers – you will love this con!
Wisconsin is the birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons, the fantasy role playing game that started it all. We have a tremendously rich gaming culture here in Wisconsin. We lead the nation in number of gaming stores per-capita.
Because of this legacy, it is a shame that the upper Midwest no longer has a major gaming convention to call its own. Nothing even close has filled the void caused by the departure of Gen Con. We aim to fix that problem.
Sure, there are many very nice smaller gaming cons spread around the state. However, without exception they are very regionalized. Moreover, many of them do not share tabletop gaming as their exclusive focus.
Our sole focus is tabletop gaming – nothing else. There is nothing wrong with anime, cosplay, LARPing or anything else for that matter. It is just not what this con is about. Gamehole Con has only one ambition. That is to be the very best tabletop gaming convention in the region.
Finally, you may find yourself asking, “What is a Gamehole?” or saying to yourself, “Ew. A Gamehole sounds yucky.” Well ladies and gentlemen; a Gamehole is simply a hole for gaming. It is a nod to the author that single-handedly created the genre of modern fantasy literature and thereby fantasy gaming – J.R.R. Tolkien.
As Tolkien so beautifully wrote at the very start of the transcendent Hobbit: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”
A Gamehole is a hole for gaming. Instead of Hobbits, it is filled with gamers, gaming, food, fellowship and fun. More specifically, the Gamehole is a longstanding group of Madison area gamers. We have been getting together for years playing our favorite games. We love virtually all tabletop games.
The Gamehole is the place where we game. It used to be in a basement, hence the “hole” appendage along with it being a nod to Tolkien, as mentioned above. We are comprised of a group of professionals in a variety of vocations from the greater Madison area. We hail from many different parts of the country. We are serious gamers. So serious in fact, that we have taken it upon ourselves to bring a truly great tabletop gaming convention to Madison.
We hope that you find Gamehole Con to be the perfect place to game.

Lords of the Trident
Their metal is so pure that only diamonds can scratch it, and usually the diamonds are the ones that end up getting hurt in the end. Their amps are so loud, Manowar knocked on their door and asked them to, “Please turn it down.” You think you’re bad? While you’re watching their sweep picking wondering how they bend space-time to fit all the notes in, they’ll punch you right in the face without missing a beat. If you like battle, bloodshed, axes, fire, and losing limbs, then mosh your way to the front row and receive your free ticket to Valhalla. If you don’t like these things – too bad. They’re playing anyway, and they’ll make sure to steal your girlfriend in the proces
Subatomic…a powerful, jam-oriented power-trio with thunderous, funky bass grooves…driving, tasty drumming…heavy, riff-laden guitar…and solid, insightful vocals. While influences and song styles may vary greatly, making the music hard to label, there are a few things that remain constant – the sound is huge, the music is powerful and honest, and whether or not you have a shred of rhythm, your head will bump and nod with the grooves.
Cold Black River
Cold Black River was formed in 2013 by former sons of Helliphant (www.helliphant.com) Jeremy Roseland (guitar/vocals) and Eric Cobb (bass/lead vocals). After penning tunes for several months and collaborating with a shortlist of talented drummers, CBR finally settled on southern Wisconsin native Aaron Kanitz to complete the powerful three piece.
Starting as what was supposed to be a side project, Disgunt was formed in 2015 featuring members of War Of Abaddon and The Unnecessary Gunpoint Lecture. Disgunt played their first show at the end of March, 2016. Since then they have been playing shows all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. Featuring a nine string guitar, Disgunt set out to write low and slow technical deathcore music. The low guttural vocals just enhance all of their goals as far as what type of music they want to create. Disgunt hopes to give you an experience you will remember and hopefully everybody will find something good to take away from the experience, regardless of musical preference.
